Theonika: Journal of Theology and Christian Education is a peer–reviewed academic journal published by LontarPress. This journal serves as an academic platform for publishing research findings, critical reviews, and scholarly reflections in the fields of Christian theology and Christian education.

Theonika aims to enrich theological and educational discourses that remain relevant to contemporary developments, while also providing space for dialogue between faith, science, and ministerial practice in the context of church, education, and society.

Scope of the Journal

The journal welcomes contributions in, but not limited to, the following areas:

• Biblical Studies (Old Testament, New Testament, hermeneutics, exegesis)

• Systematic Theology, Dogmatics, and Contextual Theology

• Practical Theology: homiletics, liturgy, pastoral care, counseling, mission, and diaconia

• Christian Education: curriculum development, teaching methodology, educational psychology, and technology in Christian education

• Christian Ethics and Philosophy of Religion: ethical issues, contemporary Christian thought, bioethics, environmental and social justice concerns

• Contextual and Cultural Studies: Christianity in local and global contexts, pluralism, interreligious dialogue, and social issues
